Come enjoy this taste of real Quebecois tradition and join us in a hearty French Canadian feast at La Sucrerie de la Montagne. This maple sugar farm, situated atop Mont-Rigaud amidst 40 acres of spectacular wooded trails, offers visitors a view of times past, with authentic log cabins, immense wood-burning ovens, traditional costumes and entertainment, plus the sugar shack where real maple syrup is made.

Dinner will be a traditional sugaring-off feast, with mountaineer's pea soup, farm-style fresh baked bread, Canadian salted back bacon, Québec maple-smoked ham, wood-fired baked beans, farm-style omelette, traditional meatball stew, country-style sausages, old-fashioned mashed potatoes, meat pie from Québec's Beauce Region, homemade fruit ketchup and pickles. Dessert: pancakes with maple syrup, sugar pie, tea and coffee.

(If specified on your registration form, a vegetarian alternative will be offered, including pea soup, baked beans and millet pie.)

A fortifying glass of caribou (local alcoholic beverage) is offered to all guests upon arrival, along with one drink ticket. A cash bar will be open for all other drinks.

Note: This event is taking place in a natural, forested setting outside of the city. Transfer time is 60 minutes each way, by motorcoach. Wheelchair users should be prepared to navigate on cleared forest grounds. All participants are encouraged to wear casual clothing, comfortable shoes and to dress for the weather.
