| 13th Biennial Conference - International Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication |
|
| History
An international conference bringing together the best work in AAC from across the world began in 1984 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The vision was a conference as the corner stone of freely sharing developments in AAC. Since then a conference has been held every two years either in Europe or North America with numbers steadily increasing and many papers being presented by people using AAC. In 2004 the conference was held for the first time in a developing country (Brazil) and most recently in Germany.
