ISAAC 2008 in Montréal - Leading the way Isaac 2008 -Montreal, Quebec, August 2008
13th Biennial Conference - International Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication

People Who Use AAC Days

By popular demand, two days of the conference have a special focus on issues and topics of interest to people who use AAC. People who use AAC attending only one day of the conference are encouraged to choose these full days for the interesting program developed following input from AAC consumers themselves. Tuesday, August 5 includes sessions of particular appeal to adults, while Wednesday, August 6 is more directed towards parents and children.

All the sessions in the program are open to registrants, but the following presentations might be of particular interest to people who use AAC and their families/supporters. Simultaneous translation and whisper translation from English to French are available for some sessions (see “Appui linguistique pour congressistes francophones”). Poster sessions and the Exhibit Hall are open throughout the days. (See Main Conference program listings for room numbers.)
